Delivering Comfort to Teens in Crisis at The Hope House

While it’s difficult to track homelessness, it is estimated that at least nine youth are forced to experience homelessness each night within the southwest metro in Minnesota. To combat this devastating statistic, in 2016 the Open Hands Foundation opened a home for youth in crisis. The Hope House has definitely lived up to its name for many teens across our local area.

Legacy Restoration partnered with Hope House in 2020 and they were quickly adopted as a local charitable partner for our MN market. Our efforts have included ensuring the exterior needs of the home are maintained as well as donating tie blankets for teens entering the home. These tie blankets are lovingly crafted by our MN team during our festive year end gatherings.

It’s become an annual tradition for our Owner & CEO, Scott Mullins, and his wife, Nicole Mullins, to hand deliver these blankets to Hope House! This year we dropped off approximately 30 blankets, and this total will be added to our overall blanket donations in Minnesota, Colorado and Illinois which benefitted our national charitable partner Volunteers of America.
