At Legacy Restoration, we believe in the power of giving back to the communities we serve. Recently, we had the privilege of partnering with Foster Love, an incredible organization dedicated to improving the lives of children in foster care. Through two impactful giveback events in St. Cloud and Rochester, Minnesota, we were able to make a difference and bring smiles to the faces of foster kids in need.
Our team in St. Cloud came together for a day of giving and compassion. Collaborating with Foster Love, we organized a remarkable giveback event to create custom ‘Sweet Cases’ for local foster kids. These special duffle bags were carefully packed with essentials and personalized touches, ensuring each child received items to bring them comfort, joy, and a sense of ownership.
The following day, our team in Rochester joined for another impactful giveback event. Together, we continued our mission of spreading love and support to children in the foster care system. In Rochester, we crafted additional ‘Sweet Cases’ filled with essentials and customized for each child who receives it.
Throughout the two giveback events, we successfully crafted a total of 35 ‘Sweet Cases’ for foster kids in need. In St. Cloud, our team put together 20 cases, while in Rochester, we created an additional 15. Each case was filled with care and included items such as teddy bears, blankets, coloring supplies, and dental hygiene products, providing the children with essential items and a little extra love.
To ensure our donations remained local and benefited the communities we serve, Foster Love utilized Agency Locator technology. In Rochester, our partner Foster Love found Olmsted County Human Services, an organization dedicated to serving the needs of foster children and families in the area. And, in St. Cloud, we were able to connect with the Central Minnesota Child Advocacy Center, an organization dedicated to providing a suite of services for children who’ve experienced abuse of any kind.
Foster Love’s vision to make a positive impact in the lives of children in foster care, who often feel forgotten and neglected, is truly inspiring. Foster Love collaborates with individuals, companies, and community partners to bring valuable resources to foster youth. They also use service-learning activities to educate volunteers about the issues surrounding the foster care system, fostering empathy and understanding.
