At Legacy Restoration, we firmly believe that giving back to the communities we serve is not just an obligation but a heartfelt commitment. This week, our Des Moines office had the incredible opportunity to partner with Foster Love, an inspiring organization dedicated to supporting children in the foster care system. Together, we were able to design and create ‘Sweet Cases’ for these local deserving kids.
What are ‘Sweet Cases,’ you ask? Well, they’re not your ordinary duffle bags! These special bags are filled with essential hygiene products, like toothbrush kits, as well as comforting items, such as cozy blankets and cuddly teddy bears. To bring some extra joy to the little ones, we also included activities like coloring books, ensuring they have moments of happiness during their time in foster care.
Our passionate staff at Legacy Restoration put their hearts and hands into assembling these ‘Sweet Cases’ for each child. With love and care, we made sure that every bag was thoughtfully prepared to provide comfort and support to those going through challenging times. But we didn’t stop there!
To make the ‘Sweet Cases’ even more special, we let our creative juices flow and adorned the outside of each duffle bag with fun and imaginative themes. From outer space adventures to prehistoric dinosaurs and vibrant florals, each design reflected the individuality and interests of the child who would receive it.
In total, we were thrilled to donate 23 ‘Sweet Cases’ to a remarkable local organization called Four Oaks Family Connections. Their dedication to providing a nurturing environment for children in foster care aligned perfectly with our mission at Legacy Restoration. Together, we hope to make a lasting impact on the lives of these young ones, showing them that they are loved, cared for, and not alone.
Our commitment to giving back runs deep in the roots of Legacy Restoration. We see it as our responsibility to extend our support beyond storm restoration services, making a meaningful difference in the lives of those around us. Being able to put smiles on the faces of these deserving children and bringing a sense of comfort during challenging times is a privilege we cherish.
